Grand Master Alexander Akilov was born in 1947 in Pamir Mountains. Sirsanat tradition was thought to him from the age of 6, in the same way it was passed in his family from father to son over many generations. Grand Master Akilov is a direct descendant of a “Bek” aristocratic warrior clan from the times of Chan Kzil Orda.
